What we store

  • Tracked UUIDs — the Sky account IDs you (or someone else) added, plus their outfit fingerprints and a change log over time.
  • Account info — if you sign up, your email and a hashed password. Nothing else profile-related.
  • Sessions — a session cookie set after sign-in so you stay logged in.
  • Notification opt-ins — if you turn on alerts for a UUID, we store the browser details needed to deliver the alert and which UUIDs you asked us to watch for you.
  • Nicknames — private labels you set on UUIDs you watch. Only visible to you.
  • Contact form — your email, subject, message, the IP address you submitted from (Cloudflare and proxy headers when present), and a timestamp. Used to reply to you and to triage spam.

What we don’t do

  • No third-party analytics or tracking pixels.
  • No advertising, no data sold for marketing.
  • No tracking of pages you view inside the app beyond standard server logs.

Notifications and your browser

When you opt in to alerts, the actual delivery goes through the push service your browser uses (typically run by Mozilla, Google, or Apple, depending on your browser). Notification contents are encrypted before they reach those services. You can turn alerts off on any UUID page at any time.

Your data, your call

Want a UUID removed, your account deleted, or an export of your data? Write in via contact and we’ll handle it.

Retention

Contact-form messages and their associated IP metadata are kept for as long as needed to respond to the request and triage abuse — typically up to 90 days, then deleted. Tracked UUIDs and their change history persist until removed by you, by the original submitter, or by a moderator. Notification opt-ins and the browser details behind them are removed automatically when your browser tells us they’re no longer valid (uninstall, cleared site data, permission revoked) and on demand when you unsubscribe.

Cookies

We set one cookie: the session cookie for keeping you signed in. That’s it. No marketing or analytics cookies.

Changes

If we update this policy in any meaningful way, the “last updated” date above changes and we post a notice on the Sky Last Seen? home page.
